Description

2D Roguelike Game in which players need to crawl through different levels of a dangerous dungeon on a limited time trying to survive and collect XP to upgrade your character. Using said upgrades, players can survive for longer for each run, until they finally get to the end of the dungeon.

My Contribution

My Role: Gameplay Programmer

This was the second game I ever worked on, in which I managed to get a better grasp on game programming as well as develop my level design skills. This game was made using Digipen’s Alpha Engine, a very simplistic engine that contains the most basic features of an engine, but still had to be fully written on C++ without an editor.

Here is my contribution to this project:

  • Design: Designed the game’s levels as well as the enemies.

  • Gameplay Programming: Programmed the levels without an editor.

  • More Gameplay Programming: I also programmed some of the enemies’ AI, such as the carnivorous plant.

  • Others: I made the logo and some unused art
